Smoked Oysters

“Classic” oysters, oysters that are just smoked, are excellent.

“Classic” oysters, oysters that are just smoked, are excellent.

In one bite, we get to taste the oyster as well as a hint of smoke, which means that, clearly, it can’t be anything but delicious!

Here is my easy oyster recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 12 Lucky Lime oysters

Preparation:

  1. Put the applewood pellets in the smoker and preheat the device at 160°F.
  2. Place the oysters on the smoker’s cooking grid, in indirect heat, and let them smoke and open up for about 1 h; according to the desired smoke-taste intensity.
  3. Remove the oysters from the smoker, take out their top shell, serve and enjoy!

*If you don’t have a smoker, you can fill the House of BBQ Experts’ Smoker Box or the House of BBQ Experts’ Chip-O-Nator with applewood chips to smoke your food. Make sure to place the accessory on top of a minimum-light burner, and, if possible, as far away as possible from the oysters.

Happy grilling!
