I often have to get out of my comfort zone both in the kitchen or while working at House of BBQ Experts, and it’s never a dull moment. I’m a person who likes to cook a lot. I like to cook even more so for the people I love who get to taste it! So I’m offering this amazing key lime pie recipe made on my 24-inch Weber Summit charcoal barbecue.
My family, friends and colleagues all love key lime pie because they always tell me. I wanted to please them by cooking this classic key lime pie strain on the barbecue. What could be better than a lime pie? How about a lime pie with a slight charcoal aroma? It’s actually amazing.
After I finally baked this pie for the office, everyone seemed to be jealous of my recipe. So here it, my key lime pie easy recipe, for everyone to share:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup graham crumbs or enough to cover the bottom of your pie plate
- ⅓ Cup of melted butter
- 1 C. cornstarch or 2 tsp. flour tea
- ¾ Cup of lime juice
- ⅓ Cup of sour cream
- 3 eggs
- 1 Box of condensed milk
- 1 Cup of 35% cream
- 3 tsp powdered sugar
Preparation:
- Preheat BBQ to 350 ° F
- In a bowl mix graham crumbs and melted butter
- Spread this mixture in a pie plate (don’t forget to put some on the edges) and put on the BBQ for 15 minutes
- Take out the plate and let the crust cool
- Combine cornstarch, lime juice, sour cream, eggs and condensed milk in a large bowl
- Pour this mixture into the crust
- Cook on the bbq for 30 minutes
- Put the pie in the fridge for 3 hours
- Before serving prepare the whipped cream by mixing with the electric mixer the 35% cream and the icing sugar
- Garnish the pie to your taste with the whipped cream
- Serving your guests
